Welcome back to Wagoners Abroad Adults learning Subjunctive Spanish! Heidi and I have been off learning about a new “mode” that is used when speaking Spanish. It was a 3-day workshop, and the TL;DR is that we had a good time, and learned a lot.
The Big Family Dilemma We had a big family dilemma! There were two great parties on the same night. Which should we attend? June 23rd– 25th is the celebration of San Juan (Saint John the Baptist) and the night of the 23rd, at the stroke of midnight the 24th the fun begins.

I don’t mean to brag (okay, maybe a little), but we are loving the fresh Strawberries right now! This is a family that loves their berries, but we are used to having them in the Spring/Summer only. They started appearing in the market about 3-4 weeks ago and we just can’t get enough.
The Carnaval season has sadly come to an end. We spent the kick of weekend experiencing Carnaval of Cádiz and had a wonderful time. It was good fun to listen and watch the Chirigotas and be part of the Big Carnaval energy. This weekend we were able to close Carnaval locally, in the small village of La Herradura.
Last Sunday there was a fundraiser to help children in Cuba and they were making some Paella Gigante in out village of Almuñécar. This was a special event on a beautiful day in January. We can hop over to nearby La Herradura any weekend night and get the same thing at El Chambao de Joaquin.
One of the things that we absolutely love here is the Almuñécar sunset and sunrises too. OK, that’s two things. Tonight’s show was very nice.
