As a family of 4 we like to try out all types of accommodation options and this Summer Road Trip was to be no different. We aren’t your typical hotel goers, as we prefer a little more space or unusual places. That said, there are times when a hotel fits the bill for short stays. We have stayed in a cave house, a ferry, boat hotels, but most often, we like to rent apartments, so why not try camping in Rome?
We did it! We took a 6 Week European Road Trip and had a blast. We are now home in Almuñécar, Spain and catching up on laundry and some much-needed rest. Now we will have time to actually write about all the cool things we did. I will provide you with a quick summary here and then over the coming weeks we will share some of the highlights of our Summer Road Trip.
Here we are an American family of 4, living in Spain and exploring Italy! We love Spain, but I must admit we love Italy too. Especially the food! As you know, Alan isn’t a big foodie, so you may have guessed, he doesn’t “get into” cheese. It just so happens that I love cheese, well most of them anyway. Continue reading
The U.S. is a great place. Sometimes though, there are strange rules and regulations that quite frankly are insane. For instance, did you know that in North Carolina, elephants may not be used to plow cotton fields. In California, peacocks have the right of way to cross any street, including driveways. There are tons of examples.
Our Aida Experience
When I first learned of the Opera being held in a Real Roman Theater, I was tickled pink. I quickly researched on-line and found that Aida was going to be playing during our time in Verona, Italy too! Double bonus baby! I was thinking about how much we were going to relish this experience and I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive.
I’ll admit that in this case, I didn’t want to do the write-up for this particular post. Not because it was boring, tedious, or a pain. In fact, it was just the opposite. Pagani was awesome! So why am I not thrilled to write-up our adventure? Because, I’d rather be doing the tour rather than writing about it.
