The unexpected gift which turned into a magical treasure for Anya, a scratch off map of the world. Two years ago, on Anya’s 9th birthday, we were invited over to our neighbors for a special homemade dessert to celebrate her birthday. These are friends we’ve made since living in Spain and we have just connected with them on so many levels. They are a young couple and had a newborn baby, but we all just connected.
As we are a traveling family living in Spain, space is of great importance to us. We try very hard not to collect too many material “things” as we want to keep our belongings to a minimum. We have decided to share a Creative Gifts Guide. These are great gift ideas for the person who has everything and we even provide you fun and creative ways to give a gift!
Alan and I have been married for over 20 years and we love to one up each other on creative ways to present a gift. These ideas are perfect for the “little to no footprint gifts“. We know it may seem a bit boring to just hand someone an envelope with a gift card or money inside. That’s not quite an elaborate presentation to build up excitement. Not to worry, we have some creative ways to give money gifts or any gift for that matter.
When the gift giving season is upon us, sometimes it can be a challenge to find that perfect gift for your special someone who already has everything. This is when you really need to dig deep and try to figure out what type of give will be meaningful and not just something to clutter their home. That’s when you remember, they are travel lovers and are especially a fan of Spain! Let’s give them gifts of Spain.
When I think of the holidays, I always think of fun family party games! When I was growing up, in a household with 6 kids, every holiday was full of energy, games, and entertainment. Sometimes we would be out on the driveway playing basketball, or football on the front lawn, but indoors we would always enjoy family games. Charades, Pictionary, and Trivial Pursuit were always favorites of mine.
I have to admit I have been a little gun-shy over the past several months with writing for the blog. Yes, we have been doing some here and there, but nowhere near how we used to keep you up to date. Recently I have been reflecting on a few things and I’ve been amazed at the self discovery and thoughts.
Each night, we sit in our living room and have a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea. While it is dark, off in the distance we see lights passing by. These are often cruise ships or some other type of ship making their way from one place to another. It is also symbolic of our daily life and our travel lifestyle.
We’re going to do something fun in this post. Something fun, and something easy. We get so many comments from readers who like reading our blog, and they often ask how to start a blog of their own. In the past, we have kept our tips and tricks to email, as we wanted to stay true to our Family Travel Blog vibe. Though as with anything, things begin to change. We are answering this question far more often and people look to us as the experts. So, the time has come to share what we know with you and make sure it is easy to understand.
