Oh how we love Valencia! Last time we visited we stayed in a hotel, but this time we wanted a little more space and a kitchen. We chose Valencia Flats and were pleasantly surprised when we found out we had a terrace too!
The Apartments at Valencia Flats
Flashback to 2016:
Valencia Flats Centro Ciudad offers 1-3 bedroom apartments and I think they are at very reasonable prices too. We stayed in the 1 bedroom, which was really like a very large studio. I consider a bedroom to be something where you can actually close a door, but for our 3 nights stay in Valencia this worked out well. We were so busy with tours and visiting friends, we were out from 9am – 11pm or later each day.
We were impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment and that they had the sofa bed all ready for us when we arrived late at night. They provided toiletries and very soft towels too. We were thrilled to also have a huge terrace, but really wished we had time to enjoy it. The kitchen also came in very handy to keep our drinks cold and yogurt for breakfast too.
What about the creature comforts?
The 2 biggies for us, when booking accommodation in the summer is wifi and air conditioning. The wifi worked great and as you may realize, that is a must for us. All four of us were connected, uploading, downloading and browsing with no problems. Of course the air conditioning was awesome, almost too cold, but it helped us have a good nights sleep.
This was easy as it was an apartment with a kitchen. We ate breakfast in each morning and then were out exploring the city until very late at night, so our other meals were out on the town. It really is nice having a kitchen or at least a fridge to keep water and drinks cold.
Staff and Common Area
We found all of the staff members very accommodating and friendly. We were thrilled someone was working at the desk when we arrived well after midnight. He checked us in quickly and let us handle some of the paperwork later, as he knew we were tired. They offer several underground parking spaces, for an additional fee. Of course we opted for the parking, as we didn’t want to deal with street parking.
The lobby area has a few couches and comfy chairs, as well as some vending machines for drinks and snacks. Hidden behind a wall is also a work desk for guests to use. We were full of questions when it came to directions and asking where things were located and every time we were answered with good information and a smile.
Valencia Flats Location
For us the location was ideal, as we were in the city center. This was the perfect opportunity for us to just park the car in the garage (14 euro/night) and use the public transportation. This was easy as we had the 48 hour Valencia tourist card. Within a 10 minute walk you will be at the central market, in about 3 minutes you can reach the metro station, and in just one short block you can find a supermarket. There are several other Valencia Flats to choose from, so check them all out. We provide the website information below.
