Having two vegans in the family can add an extra layer of planning before we travel. This time we did all of the research for restaurants and here is our list for vegetarian & vegan Athens!
Obviously we didn’t have time to try out each and every one of these restaurants, but it was great to have this list handy. Prior to our trip to Athens, I created this map of the things we wanted to do and added a layer specifically for vegetarian & vegan Athens restaurants.
Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurants Athens
I had this list at the ready, so when we were out exploring and it was time to eat, I just pulled up the map to see what options were available nearby! It worked like a charm. The kids were a little flexible with cheese options but other than that they stuck to their plans.
Beneth Bakery (vegan options too)
When we walked into this bakery, everything looked delicious! They had some custom-made pizza near the entrance and that drew us in. When we asked about vegan options, we had a full tour of the store and were pleased with what was available! The vegan pizza and spinach pie were on the top of the list. Read their Google reviews.
Avocado
This is just down the street from Syntagma Square and there were plenty of dishes to choose from.
Ice Queen Gelato
Sometimes you just want that sweet treat!
Yoleni’s Greek Gastronomy Center
We actually did a cooking class here and they were very accommodating for the vegan options. This location also has two restaurants, a deli, and a shop all with vegan options available.
Bamboo Vegan
This is actually a mini-market with some great options for ready-made meals and snacks.
Veganaki
Falafel, wraps, soups, burgers, sandwiches, salads, omelets, juices, cakes, and more!
Vegan Beat
This was top-rated for Athens vegan street food and everything will make your mouth water, even if you aren’t vegan!
Healthy Bites
They offer healthy Mediterranean options and meals to eat. From salads to wraps and more, it is another highly rated place.
All That Jatz
Known for great customer service, good food, and good prices. This is near Monastiraki Square and has friendly staff members.
Savvas Restaurant
There wasn’t an overwhelming amount of options, but the kids did enjoy the falafel platter. it came with falafel, hummus, eggplant salad, pickled veggies, fries, and bread.
