The last couple of months have been a real blur, as we have been very busy with life as well as planning our epic 8 week European Summer Road Trip. It all started in April, with the great news that I was yet again an aunt! Yep, my baby sis had another baby and this time it was a little girl. I was so excited, I wanted to hop on a plan at that moment. I check airfares and found a round trip ticket to the States for just $585! I wanted to purchase the ticket at that moment, but something was holding me back.f
The other day Anya was requesting that we have a traditional Christmas at home. She continued by explaining she wanted it to be cold, with snow, a big decorated Christmas tree, and loads of our family. While I know I’ve had plenty of Christmas experiences with all of that, I realized she hadn’t. We have experienced Christmas vacations “away” from our home for most of her life and only a couple of times with snow.

So let me catch you up on what’s going on with us recently. We will also detail the entire process for the Spanish Resident Card Renewal. I know you are excited!

I am sitting here in the heat of summer, melting away and trying to plan activities for this winter. I promised the family we would experience snow this winter, so I am using it as an exercise to help my mind go to a cooler place. It isn’t working! We haven’t taken the kids on a ski trip for about 4 years. It think it was our trip to Wintergreen Virginia in February 2011. Look how small the kids were! So, it is time to hit the snow again.
