Hello Bangkok Thailand!

After our 3 1/2 week European road trip around the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Sweden, we have landed in Bangkok!   If you are following the blog closely, we are still behind on our writing, I think we have you in Belgium still.  Not to worry, more posts to come and catch you up to our travels.  Since we’ve jumped continents, I just thought you would like to see a quick video interview of the kids, on our first day in Bangkok. Hello Bangkok Thailand Keep in mind this is following 3 1/2 weeks of on the go fun and an 11 hour direct flight from Sweden.  We were up about 24 hours and we had a 2-3 hour nap today.  Trying to get synchronized on the correct timezone and body clocks quickly.

Hello Bangkok Thailand!

We’ve already found a favorite place to eat.  The owner Max stops by the table often to do a bit of magic.  So far so good.

    • We are pretty excited Maggie, no doubt about that. We are having a tough time getting on any kind of a sleeping schedule, oh well! 🙂

  1. And I know that pool well.! Have fun, and if you need ny tips or recommendations for that area you know who to ask. Well, you could probably ask lots of people, but I’m yer mate.

    • Alyson, you bet you’re my mate. I will certainly ask you questions. Hey we did see some cats hanging around, as we returned home last night. Perhaps they are the same ones, when you were here. I really agonized over where to stay (in the thick of things vs. an apartment with space further out). I am so glad we are in the thick of it. It is a bit more expensive, but so lively. Everything is just out the front door and we are loving that. Not to mention that pool! We have no clue what to do, as we are still a bit dazed. Here I am, up at 5am! We will go explore some, but I also need to figure out where the heck we are going next.

We want to spend a couple of weeks relaxing at the beach. I am thinking Ko Chang or Ko Phangan and then we will meander up to N. Thailand. So I am thinking that Ko Chang is just closer. We will see. I know you guys love Phangan.

    • Thanks Mary! The kids have been great and they are so open to new adventures and new things. That is one of the big life lessons we have been trying to ensure they have, the ability to accept and embrace change. It is working so far.

  2. This is so very awesome. You guys are adorable, no matter where you are 🙂 All the best–I’ll be keeping up with you.
