She did it! Just a reminder for those of you just joining us. We set out on an Adventure333 (3 Generations, 3 Months, 3 Countries+). 3 generations (my 72 year-old mom – Gma Bev), to cover 3 countries (Laos, Vietnam & Cambodia), in just 3 months (November, December, January). Our amazing Adventure333 has come to an end and Gma Bev made it all the way!
It seems that you like to slice and dice the data as much as I do. Actually, I think you like me slicing and dicing the data, and you like to consume the output any way I give it to you. So for grins and fun for me, you get to see our expenses for the month of December 2014, which includes Laos and Vietnam. If you just want to see the breakdown by Country, then just scroll down a little further.
As you know we have had a tough time keeping up with Gma Bev. While we are writing blog posts, editing videos/pictures, doing homework, taking naps or dining out, Gma Bev has been off exploring. Gma Bev is always up to something and we are having fun teasing her about her Shenanigans.
At first it was a bit of a concern making sure she didn’t get lost and not knowing where she was. Then we just “Let it go, Let it go”. Ha! I bet that song from Frozen is in your head now. You’re welcome!
After our 10 nights in Vang Vieng Laos, along with our not so lovely VIP bus ride, we arrived in Vientiane, Laos. The plan was to spend 5 nights exploring this town and then fly to Hanoi, Vietnam next. Well, that happened for the most part, but had a little bit of “burn out” rearing its ugly head. What do we do when you we traveling and have a little travel burn out? We slow down!
We have been traveling with our 3 generations for about 5 weeks now. Everything has been smooth as silk and absolutely no problems at all, that is until this moment. Apparently you are never too old to be scolded by your mother.
We have really enjoyed our trip so far and thought you would like to see a review of our 23 nights of Laos Accommodation in hotels, guest houses, and hostels. I usually sum up this type of thing in our monthly budget, but we are moving a little faster now and changing accommodation more frequently. So I think I will feature Accommodation on its own, to give it a little limelight.
