This is the question many of you have asked and I bet many of you wanted to, but didn’t want to invade our privacy. How much did your European Road Trip Cost? Don’t worry, if you have a question for us, just ask! We are sharing our experiences, stories, budgets with all of you.
Not only to keep a record for ourselves, but to show you it can be done. We want to share it all with you for inspiration, to help you prepare, plan or even think differently about your dreams and desires. So ask away, don’t be shy. Okay, so now let’s get into the 6 week road trip cost as we traveled around Europe, the ride of our lives.
As you know we have been living in Spain for nearly 1 year. As you also know, our original plan was to live here for 1 year and then return to the United States. Why we are throwing around different options as to what we are doing next and where we are going, we started coming up with a list of places we would still like to see in Spain.
We did it! We took a 6 Week European Road Trip and had a blast. We are now home in Almuñécar, Spain and catching up on laundry and some much-needed rest. Now we will have time to actually write about all the cool things we did. I will provide you with a quick summary here and then over the coming weeks we will share some of the highlights of our Summer Road Trip.
Time for our Summer Road Trip! As you know we kicked it all off with a Splash at the Big Water Fight! The next morning we were up, packed and out of the house by 11am for the first leg of our Summer Journey. Today our goal was to make the 9-ish hour drive to Barcelona or at least most of the way. Just 2 weeks after Easter, is the time of year when the Feria de Abril is celebrated. This is when we could fully an experience traditions of Spain that have in place for generations. I don’t mean to brag (okay, maybe a little), but we are loving the fresh Strawberriesright now! This is a family that loves their berries, but we are used to having them in the Spring/Summer only. They started appearing in the market about 3-4 weeks ago and we just can’t get enough. Continue reading →
After Christmas and Three Kings Day here in Spain, we noticed the holiday decorations were quickly pulled from the shelves in the local stores. This isn’t too different from the U.S., out with one holiday and in with the next. In the U.S. the next holiday would likely be Valentines Day. Here in Spain what comes next is a bit different for us and we needed to come up with some good costume ideas! Continue reading →
