Imagine being greeted at your hotel and taken to the southern shores of Koh Samui. You board your own private long-tail boat and are transported to a remote island. Of course this is all atop the most beautiful blue waters you will ever see. You stop in a perfectly remote location to snorkel a bit and have the entire reef to yourself. Then you move on to another island, where a gourmet lunch is served, just for you! Okay, now you are listening. Let me tell you about our experience.
You guys know me, and my general aversion to trying new foods. Well, I think I’ve turned the corner. I’ve recently become acquainted with Indian food, and I have to say that I’m becoming a fan. While we’re in Koh Samui, we found a fantastic place if Indian is your proverbial cup of tea. The restaurant is Noori India and they provided a memorable dining experience for us.
Wow! What a complete treat. We have been traveling for a long time and as you know we love our western food. I was a bit worried about what we may or may not find on Koh Phangan, as we had never been. We stayed on the northwest side on a small beach named Haad Yao. And how lucky were we to find Crave!
Announcing the Wagoners Abroad Restaurant Review Week! As you know we are a full-time traveling family and we like to eat! We have always shared our accommodation choices and living expenses with you all of the time. Now it is time to share with you where we eat, but only our favorites!

I haven’t done a budget post since leaving Spain, as I have been trying to figure out our routine and get a handle on things.
As you know we spent one week in Bangkok Thailand. Of course since that was our first week in Thailand, we had to get used to the humidity, toilets and culture. Lars also stepped up to the plate and ate a scorpion on a stick; please check out the video! Following our time in Bangkok we envisioned a nice relaxing week or two at one of the islands in the Gulf of Thailand. The problem was, none of them were going to be a short journey from Bangkok.
We have been in Thailand for just a short time, and we’ve already spotted a fantastic neighborhood in Koh Chang. Our first day in Koh Chang, we walked along the beach which was a stones throw away from our hotel. As we walked along the beach, we found an incredible neighborhood. It’s not the sort of neighborhood I’d want to live in, but incredible it was! Continue reading
Heading in to this adventure, while seemingly confident on the surface, underneath I was a little worried. Worried about how the family would acclimate to Thailand, the food, weather and culture.
