We have officially recovered from our trip to Paris, and today we decided to visit the local olive oil factory. It’s only about a 15 minute drive, so we all piled in the car and drove up the windy road to Otívar. We also wanted to see if we could find the people we ran into the last time we visited and see how Olive Oil is Made.
It has been a long weekend here celebrating Spanish Holidays.
- Thursday was a national Spanish holiday, Día de la Constitución (Constitution Day)
- Friday, the kids were off from school
- Saturday was another national Spanish holiday celebrating La Inmaculada Concepción (Immaculate Conception)
Sunday’s are usually quiet. Heidi ran across an article which described a quaint Christmas Market at a mansion in the hills very close to Almuñécar. So, we decided to take a mini road trip through Costa Tropical. The palace is called Palacete de Cazulas (Cazulas Mansion). It’s a swanky country residence with beautiful grounds and chapel.
