Just as any other holiday, I wondered if Valentine’s Day would be any different in Spain. Alan and I were in Old Town near the Municipal Market today running some errands. I noticed so many men walking around with beautiful bouquets of flowers. I also noticed several ladies with a single rose or flower in hand. I love the colors of Almuñécar, Spain every month seems to have a new delight in store for us. The entire month of January the streets, homes and hillsides have been sprinkled with orange! Most of it is just eye candy, but sometimes there is an edible treat within your reach.

The town of Almuñécar, Spain is full of beautiful flowers all year-long. It is so nice walking through the town and seeing all of the color from the December flowers in the winter. What a nice treat.
Yes, we are very fortunate to have a spectacular view each and every moment of the day. We are even more fortunate to have a small balcony off of the Master Bedroom. I do love our main Balcony. It isn’t a grand terrace, but it is bigger than an ordinary balcony (~16 ft wide x 5 ft deep). I do have to say, that when dreaming of a place here I did envision a grand terrace. And I do love my gardening, so this terrace was going to have flowers and vines everywhere. Continue reading
