Move to Costa Tropical Spain? Where is that? Everyone knows about the coasts with the big cities Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol, Costa Dorada (Alicante, Malaga, Barcelona, Valencia), but not many know about Costa Tropical. That’s why it’s one of the best places to live in Spain! Shhh, don’t tell anyone! With coast, mountains, sea, mild winters and more.
Nearly two years living in Spain and it’s time for us to move on to our new adventures. We had a rough time the last couple of weeks and it was a very emotional time for us all. The kids finished school, Lars graduated from 6th grade and it was all really hitting home that we were leaving. We of course shared with you a few things we will miss, and that we prefer to say “see ya later” rather than goodbye. Our time wouldn’t be complete without a final “Living in Spain” video interview with Anya and Lars.
Can you believe we have been expats in Spain for 18 months?! It is absolutely amazing how fast the time has flown by. We are in “just normal life” here and for us Almuñécar has been the best place to live in Spain. No matter where we travel, upon return, our choice is validated with that comfortable feeling of home.
So you’ve decided you are moving abroad, or even better, you are moving to Spain?
We are often contacted by Couples, Families and Travelers planning their move to Spain. For some it is open-ended and for others it is for a couple of months, so they follow that Schengen Visa rule. Either way they ask the same questions:
We just wanted to share with you our Top 10 posts for the year. There was a tie for number 10, so you will see 11 listed. We have had a great year and we love keeping track of it all on Wagoners Abroad. We have an important milestone coming up on Monday, so stay tuned for a bigger trip down memory lane. We can’t thank you enough for following along, commenting, interacting, contacting us and supporting us. You make all of the hard work that goes into blogging worth it. Thanks!
As you know we have just celebrated a great milestone for the Wagoner Family
1 year Living in Spain!
Yipeee. We have tried to video interview the kids throughout the year and that just wouldn’t be complete without the 1 year interview. We did things a bit differently this time. We have the Q&A in the first half of the video and then the kids speaking Spanish with each other the 2nd half.
I thought it would be great to reflect on the past year a bit and write something up for our 1 year anniversary. Oh how time flies. I can’t believe it, we have been living in Spain for a full year. When we first decided to take a sabbatical / career break, we planned on living abroad for 12-18 months. Of course the length of time was dependent upon us sticking to our budget, as we were living in Spain on a non-lucrative visa. We officially weren’t allowed to work in Spain, so we took that to heart and have enjoyed the past year without any official paid work. Happy 1 year Anniversary to Wagoners Abroad and Spain!
