Growing up with six kids in my family, camping was usually the vacation of choice. It was great, because all of us kids could run around and just be kids in nature. When planning our 2014 Summer European Road Trip, we knew we were going to need some down time. After scouring the web for the perfect accommodation, we found the perfect cottage. In France a cottage is often referred to as a gite, and this was named Gite La Chayotte. As you know we love to share with you where we’ve stayed and give a little love to our hosts as well.
After spending a fantastic week on a houseboat in Amsterdam, we decided to change not just the city in which we would stay, but the country. That is one of the great things about Europe. Everything is so much “closer”.
