If you find yourself in Southern Utah, we know where you can pamper your body! We had the pleasure of working with Adventure Hub St. George in scheduling us a wonderful massage with StGeorgeMassage.com. It was perfect after our epic day out in the desert on the side by side, read more about that here.
If you are looking for clean, quiet and nice budget accommodations in Hue, Vietnam, this is the place we would recommend for you. A little on the artsy side with a splash of purple here there and everywhere.
Growing up with six kids in my family, camping was usually the vacation of choice. It was great, because all of us kids could run around and just be kids in nature. Now that we have kids we have taken the kids camping a few times, but found that we are more like a glamping family or a family that likes a real bed. I know that is cheating for those of you that camp, but we need a good nights sleep with all of our traveling.
Imagine weaving your way through the narrow pedestrian-only streets, of the seaside town of Almuñécar, Spain. As you take each step you admire the patterned stone work on the path, the buildings, fountains, and plazas beaming with history and the castle perched on the hill above. There is a buzz of people going about their day while picking up their bread at the local bakery and catching up on the daily gossip. You weave your way through the maze and on to Calle Alta del Mar, you arrive at B&B Casa 9, with flower lined windows. You eagerly knock on the age-old large wooden doors, which have greeted visitors for hundreds of years. The doors open and you are greeted with the friendliest smile in town, by your host Daizie.
You travel to a new destination and you see all of the stuff the guidebooks tell you to see. But let’s face it, there are only so many museums, statues, and places of interest that you can look at before you’ve had enough. That’s when it’s time to go off the beaten path, and do something a bit different. Step outside of the tourist box and do something the entire family will get into. Work together as a team and have fun while on a MindQuest and beat the clock. This was one of our favorite things to do in Budapest!
We have been living in Spain for 15 months and still had yet to see the Mesquite in Córdoba, so we planned a last-minute weekend getaway. We knew this was a great town to park the car and enjoy the weekend by foot, but it was time to find that perfect place to rest at night. We prefer to book an apartment, so we can have a little extra space as well as a kitchen. This really saves on spending too much eating out and it is nice to have cold drinks handy. We also wanted to be sure we were in the old town area, so we wouldn’t need to use the car. After scouring the internet, we happened upon the Apartamentos Alberca and it looked like a gem. Reservations were made and we were on our way. Continue reading
Are you a coffee or tea drinker?
I happen to love both, so it doesn’t matter to me. I like to have a good coffee now and again as a treat. I am not sure if it is for the coffee alone or the full experience of sitting at my favorite cafe, along the promenade, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Watching the people walk past and listening in on other conversations. Ah, I just love that, but no way is it a daily thing. Sometimes I make an instant coffee at home and sometimes I just have tea.
